Where We're Eating in Denver This Summer
We're definitely late to joining the cliche chorus on this one, but - how is it already August?!
While the summer may be flying by, we've managed to make the most of the season by visiting our favorite restaurants - and favorite restaurant patios - on a regular basis. Should you need some inspo for your next date night or brunch out with the gang, we rounded up a few of our go-to local Denver spots we've had on a regular rotation (and, you *might* just see some Union Stitch + Design aprons at these spots, too).
LADY NOMADA

Recently opened in Arvada, Lady Nomada serves up 'Baja bites' with a side of major design-crush vibe, all of which will likely have you feeling as if you took a quick jaunt down to Mexico for dinner. Our orders: the Cali Caliente Marg and Carne Asada Fries.
ULTREIA

One of our forever favorites, our friend Chef Jen Jasinski's Ultreia is all about the shared plate pintxos and tapas of the Iberian peninsula countries of Spain and Portugal. Plus, their patio in the front of Union Station is one of the best in the city. Our orders: Pan con Tomate with jamón Ibérico de Bellota and the Island in the Sun G&T.
BENZINA

Newish to the Denver dining scene, this Italian spot is located on Colfax in a remodeled former muffler shop, and dishes out Italian-inspired dishes made with local ingredients and intentional flavors, in addition to stellar vibes both inside and on the patio. Our orders: the seasonal Corn Pizza with Nduja, Birds Eye Chili, and Robiola and housemade Limoncello.
THE FIFTH STRING

Calling the Highlands home, The Fifth String is new concept by Chef Amos Watts. Go for the eclectic dishes, stellar cocktails and, when it's v v hot, the misters on the lush patio. Our orders: the Country Ham Croquette and the Time After Thyme made with cimmaron tequila, yellow chartreuse, thyme, lemon.
